These life experiences may have positively or negatively impacting us, and as a result we maybe struggling due to these experiences. Facing our struggles can sometimes be a challenge. Walaa Taha holds a Master’s of Science in Counselling Psychology, and a Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary. She also recently graduated with a diploma in Islamic Psychology from Cambridge Muslim College. Currently, she is continuing her studies in Islamic Sciences through Ribaat Academic Institute and Pillars Seminary. Walaa’s experience includes working extensively as a researcher and youth program leader, as well as a counsellor in schools. She learned how to listen, communicate and understand complex situations while working in leadership positions in provincial government ministers’ offices and at Toronto Metropolitan University, in both the Vice President’s office and the Diversity Institute.
