Psychologists
Registered Psychotherapists
Psychotherapists have their Masters degree and are registered and licensed through the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. The practice of psychotherapy is the assessment and treatment of cognitive, emotional or behavioral disturbances by psychotherapeutic means. Psychotherapists have additional training in specialized areas such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused and more.
Registered Social Workers
Registered Social Workers have a masters in social work (MSW) and are licensed by their provincial College of Social Workers. They support families as well as individuals in a multitude of ways, and are trained in practicing counselling. Registered social workers have specialized university education and must participate in continued professional learning and skills development to fulfil the requirements of their professional regulatory body. Social workers serve in a variety of workplace settings, from hospitals and community centres to schools and social service agencies.
Mental Health Counsellors
Mental health counsellors are professionals who utilize a variety of approaches to help individuals and families navigate various areas including anxiety, depression, personal growth and development.

My name is Naba, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); I am also a student member of the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA). Imran Yar
Imam Imran Yar, is a Psycho-Spiritual Care Practitioner, who has completed his degree in Islamic theology at one of the United Kingdoms leading seminaries. Following this, he completed his Masters degree in Psycho-Spiritual care at the University of Toronto. Fozy Ismail RP (Q)
Fozy has been able to develop her counselling skills through a unique work and educational background where she has focused on building effective relationships for over twenty years.
She learned how to listen, communicate and understand complex situations while working at the federal and provincial governments, including as a Director at two Minister’s offices. She also worked in leadership positions at the Toronto Metropolitan University, in both the Vice President’s office and the Diversity Institute. Walaa Taha
Walaa Taha holds a Master’s of Science in Counselling Psychology, and a Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary. She also recently graduated with a diploma in Islamic Psychology from Cambridge Muslim College. Currently, she is continuing her studies in Islamic Sciences through Ribaat Academic Institute and Pillars Seminary. Walaa’s experience includes working extensively as a researcher and youth program leader, as well as a counsellor in schools. She has also led mental health workshops and halaqaas within her local community, reflecting her commitment to community service and education.
As a mental health counsellor, Walaa utilizes an integrated practice of counselling which is rooted in Islamic psychology as she is keen on contributing to the revival of Islamic healing traditions. Fatima Patel is a psychotherapist-in-training pursuing a master’s level certification at the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy Education and Counselling. She holds an Alimiyyah Degree in Islamic and Arabic studies and an Honours Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Everyone shares different life experiences that may have influenced or shaped their life in some way. These life experiences may have positively or negatively impacting us, and as a result we maybe struggling due to these experiences. Facing our struggles can sometimes be a challenge. Reaching out to a therapist can also be a challenge and it can take much courage and strength to do so. Therapy can sometimes feel strange or uncomfortable at first and it can sometimes be difficult to open-up, be present and vulnerable at times.
A priority for Ala’ is to ensure that her clients feel safe and comfortable during the process of therapy, all while working towards meeting her client needs and goals. Building trust can take time and Ala’ prioritizes creating a caring and nonjudgmental space for clients in order for clients to reach their goals. Ala’ likes to work collaboratively with her clients to ensure they are working towards flourishing and being the best version of themselves.
Ala’ holds a Masters and Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Ala’ is currently a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She also completed her training in the Supervised Pastoral Education (SPE) Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton in 2019.
